F.A.M.I.L.I.E.S. Support Group
(Families are: mentoring, initiating, learning, imagining, empowering & supporting each other)
The Mental Health Association Family Support Services provides opportunities for enrichment and enhancement of family relationships though peer support activities that involve the entire family. We are currently facilitating a support group on the first and third Monday of each month at the MHA offices at Deleware Park Centre, Olean, NY. Parents/caregivers can come and participate in group while the children/youth in the family work with skill builders to learn problem solving and calming techniques all while having fun doing crafts and games in a group setting. Each group will provide opportunities for learning as well as sharing of ideas and experiences.
We are currently forming groups in other areas and looking for possible participants and/or leaders. Please contact our offices if you have an interest in participating in a group outside of the Olean area.
