HAVE YOU HAD DIABETES FOR LESS THAN 5 YEARS?

IS METFORMIN THE ONLY DIABETES MEDICATION YOU ARE TAKING?

If so, you may be able to participate in a clinical research study that is trying to find
the best combination treatment for type 2 diabetes.

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, part of the
National Institute of Health, in collaboration with 37 medical clinics, including the
VA San Diego, are conducting this GRADE study (The Glycemia Reduction Approaches
in Diabetes: A Comparative Effectiveness Study). GRADE is a clinical trial designed
for people living with diabetes. The goal of the study is to find the best combination
drug treatment for diabetes.

Sunder Mudaliar, MD and his associates are conducting a study to further
evaluate the effects of the FDA approved drug canagliflozin (Invokana™)
that is used to treat diabetes.

Qualified Participants:


Up to $3,500.00 in compensation will be provided to volunteers who qualify.
